On Thursday, Sept 3, please join Minnesota LGBTQ/SSA Mormons, Family, and Friends to see 20% Theater Company’s production of The Pink Unicorn, and learn more, in a fun way, about genderqueer experience.
From the Theater Company:
“ ‘How on God’s green earth can you be both a boy and a girl?’
At once hilarious and heartfelt, THE PINK UNICORN is an award-winning solo theatre piece that tells the story of Trisha Lee, a Christian widow, living in a conservative Texas town, whose life is thrown into turmoil when her teenage daughter announces she is “gender queer” and starting a Gay/Straight Alliance at the local high school. When the school principal rejects the GSA’s application for inclusion as a school club, Trisha must choose sides in her rapidly dividing town.”
The show starts at 7pm at Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater, 811 W Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN. We will meet at 6pm when doors open to get good seats and eat together in the theater before the show starts. If you need to come later, that works too (and you can still order food since servers generally work throughout the shows at Bryant Lake.)
Tickets are $10-$20 Sliding Scale and can be purchased online athttp://bryantlakebowl.com/theater/the-pink-unicorn or via phone 612-825-8949 (with no service fee). Bryant Lake Bowl is a small venue and the show only runs three nights, so you’ll want to purchase in advance.
